PILAR COMMUNITY COLLEGE NATIONAL BOOK WEEK
Pilar Community College successfully concluded the 91st National Book Week 2025 celebration with the theme “Reading is the bridge to a future full of hope.” The event featured a series of engaging activities designed to promote literacy, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for reading among students.
The culminating program was held on November 21, 2025, at the Pilar Gymnasium-Complex and highlighted two significant activities: the Book Character Costume Showcase, where students brought their favorite literary characters to life, and the Big Book Contest, which demonstrated learners’ creativity, craftsmanship, and forward-looking perspectives.
The celebration concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing exemplary participants in the Digital Poster Making Contest, Bookmark Making Contest, and A Living Cover, as well as the Top Three Students with the highest number of library visits. These recognitions aim to further encourage PiCCeans to cultivate a consistent reading habit and to remind them that hope can be found on every page.
Pilar Community College Library extends its heartfelt appreciation to all students for their active participation and to everyone who contributed to making this year’s National Book Week celebration successful, meaningful, and memorable.
