The BTLEd Program aims to develop highly competent and motivated teachers in Technology and Livelihood Education for Grades 4-8. The technology livelihood education curriculum shall impart a body of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and experiences that will provide prospective Grade 4-8 EPP/TLE Teachers with the necessary competencies essential for effective teaching and at the same time are accredited TVET Trainors and Assessors

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  1. Demonstrate the competencies required of the Philippine TVET Trainers -Assessors Qualifications Framework (PTTQF).
  2. Demonstrate broad and coherent, meaningful knowledge and skills in technology and livelihood education.
  3. Apply with minimal supervision specialized knowledge and skills in technology and livelihood education.
  4. Demonstrate higher level literacy, communication, numeracy, critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher learning.
  5. Manifest a deep and principled understanding of the learning processes and the role of the teacher in facilitating these processes in their students.
  6. Show a deep and principled understanding of how educational processes relate to larger historical, social, cultural, and political processes.
  7. Apply a wide range of teaching process skills (including curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development, educational assessment, and teaching approaches).
  8. Reflect on the relationships among the teaching process skills, the learning processing in the students, the nature of the content/subject matter, and other factors affecting educational processes in order to constantly improve their teaching knowledge, skills and practices.

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences (BSESS) major in Fitness and Sports Coaching and Fitness and Sports Management is a four-year degree program focused on the scientific study of exercise, fitness, and sports. It prepares students to design, implement, and evaluate fitness and sports programs in schools, communities, and the sports industry. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience through internships or fieldwork.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  1. Demonstrate competencies aligned with fitness instruction, coaching, and sports program management standards.
  2. Apply broad and coherent knowledge in exercise science, fitness, and sports.
  3. Utilize specialized skills in designing and implementing exercise and training programs with minimal supervision.
  4. Exhibit strong communication, numeracy, critical thinking, and lifelong learning skills in sports and fitness settings.
  5. Demonstrate a deep understanding of human movement, exercise processes, and client/athlete development.
  6. Relate exercise and sports practices to social, cultural, and health-related contexts.
  7. Apply skills in fitness assessment, program design, coaching, and sports instruction.
  8. Reflect on practice to continuously improve performance, training methods, and professional competence.

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd) program aims to develop highly competent, compassionate, and reflective teachers who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary for educating children from birth to eight years old. The program prepares prospective early childhood educators to create developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments that promote the holistic growth and well-being of young learners while fostering strong partnerships with families and communities.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  1. Demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge and skills in early childhood education grounded in child development theories, principles, and practices.
  2. Apply developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and culturally responsive teaching strategies that address the diverse needs of young children.
  3. Design, implement, and assess meaningful learning experiences that support the holistic development of children in early childhood settings.
  4. Demonstrate effective communication, literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills necessary for professional practice and lifelong learning.
  5. Manifest a deep and principled understanding of child growth and development and the role of the early childhood teacher in facilitating children’s learning and development.
  6. Show a deep understanding of how educational, historical, social, cultural, political, and family contexts influence early childhood education and child development.
  7. Apply a wide range of teaching competencies, including curriculum planning, lesson preparation, learning resource development, classroom management, educational assessment, and the integration of appropriate technologies.
  8. Build collaborative partnerships with families, colleagues, schools, and communities to promote children’s learning, well-being, and development.
  9. Demonstrate professionalism, ethical responsibility, and commitment to children’s rights, diversity, inclusivity, and lifelong professional growth.
